- South Korea launches a campaign to tackle the problem of smartphone-related collisions between pedestrians and vehicles. It has more than doubled in five years to around 1,000 reported incidents in 2014. 300 warning signals in five locations across Seoul (Capital) have been installed.

- Centre amnounced Rs.6,000 crore special package for textile and apparel sector to enable domestic firms globally. Expectations are an increase in exports by $30 billion and help attract investments worth Rs.74,000 crore in three years. India was leader in apparel exports between 1995 and 2000. Bangaldesh's apparel exports exceeded that of India in 2003, while Vietnam surpassed India in 2011.
